![]() We got our first glimpse at Diablo 4’s world bosses way back at BlizzCon 2019. ![]() Gear that gives you extra evade charges or reduces the evade cooldown helped as well. With Ashava, being good at the game’s evade mechanic, which lets you quickly dodge away from danger, is a must to avoid the massive damage this world boss could dish out. That’s something we found in boss encounters throughout Act 1 story quests and dungeons: being mindful of the mechanics and getting out of the way of attacks is crucial. It’s a long fight, and you won’t have enough health potions to just heal through the damage. Tips for fighting Ashava (and other world bosses) in Diablo 4įighting Ashava doesn’t take too much strategy, but players have to be careful to watch for its attacks and dodge appropriately. You’ll want to be prepared if you go to a world boss battle in Diablo 4. But be forewarned - Ashava was not for the faint of heart (or low of level). Presuming bosses in the final game have this same system of timers, be sure to head out in advance to participate in these giant boss battles. With the massive size of the world in Diablo 4, we did find getting to Ashava - even knowing in advance when exactly it would spawn - to be time-consuming. It should be easy to find Ashava, because a special event icon will show up on the map a half hour before it spawns, telling you exactly when and where to find the boss. However, we await confirmation as to whether Ashava will be there in the live game or whether the boss was only there for testing. In the beta, you’ll find Ashava in The Crucible in the southeast of the Fractured Peaks. Mount trophies are part of the new mount system in Diablo 4 and are a gruesome way to display your conquering spoils. The Cry of Ashava trophy is a capped horn, meant to be pulled directly from Ashava’s corpse. This time around, killing Ashava comes with an reward! If you defeat Ashava with a level 20 character during the Server Slam weekend, you will earn the exclusive Cry of Ashava mount trophy (pictured above). World boss encounters are open world events, and during the beta Ashava will spawn at set times (see below).Īccording to the devs, these bosses will “take more than the people in your party to fight it,” but you shouldn’t have trouble because Diablo 4’s multiplayer features mean you’re certain to find help nearby when a world boss spawns. These bosses are designed to be “truly gigantic, horrific monsters,” and Ashava certainly fits he bill - in fact, the boss is so large that the in-game camera zooms out so you can see the whole battlefield. In WoW Classic, you can only track up to 5 quests at a time, and quests will fade from the tracker if you aren’t actively working on them.World bosses are new to the franchise in Diablo 4, and during the Server Slam beta from May 12 -14 you’ll be able to fight one of these bosses: Ashava the Pestilent. To enable this option open the Main Menu (ESC), click on Interface and then on Display, and check Automatic Quest Tracking. In WoW Classic, a quest will automatically appear in the tracker only when you complete an objective towards the quest, and you have Automatic Quest Tracking enabled.
